US, Los Angeles: Sunland Fatal Collision Involving Multiple VehiclesDWith Sound On Tape Part 2
Los Angeles, United States - February 18, 2025 02/18/2025 04:33 pm (GMT-0800) SUNLAND, LOS ANGELES, Calif. –Sergeant Jodie McGee with the LAPD's Valley Traffic Division mentioned on camera that seven vehicles were involved in a Sunland traffic collision involving a fatality. According to McGee, a driver traveling westbound on Foothill Boulevard was transporting a rear passenger when the vehicle started hitting cars at McVine Avenue and continued to "ping-pong" off cars until he struck a Mercedes head-on. McGee said that at this time in the investigation, it appears that the cause of the crash involved a possible medical emergency of the driver or rear passenger that caused the vehicle to travel at a high rate of speed. Alcohol was not considered to be a factor. The passenger of the vehicle was pronounced deceased. McGee added that a truck involved in the collision lost its axle and landed on the roof of a restaurant, causing damage.
