US, Los Angeles: Downtown Los Angeles Multiple Vehicles Struck by Thrown Rocks on 110 Freeway
Los Angeles, United States - February 20, 2025 02/20/2025 11:15 pm (GMT-0800) DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The California Highway Patrol's Central Los Angeles Area office is investigating several reports of vehicles struck by rocks thrown by a subject from the right shoulder of the northbound 110 Freeway between Adams Boulevard and the 10 Freeway. Gabriel Pabon, Chief Photojournalist of Key News Network, was traveling northbound on the 110 Freeway when the windshield of his vehicle was struck by a rock on the passenger side. He was not injured and filed an incident report with CHP. At least two other incidents with similar circumstances were reported shortly after. At approximately 11:40 p.m., CHP Central Los Angeles officers responded to reports of a stalled pickup truck on the 10 westbound at Normandie Avenue with a cracked windshield. It was reported that an object flew through the windshield and struck the occupant of the pickup. The occupant of that vehicle was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. CHP Central Los Angeles officers have been periodically patrolling the area in search of the suspect. Gabriel Pabon of KNN is available for an interview until 4:15 a.m. and can be reached directly at (805) 796-9430.
