Peru: Shopping Mall Roof Collapse in Trujillo Leaves 3 Dead, 70 Injured
Trujillo, Peru - February 22, 2025 A tragic accident struck the Real Plaza shopping mall in Trujillo, Peru, as the roof of its food court collapsed, killing at least three people and injuring around 70 others. The incident occurred while dozens of families were inside the mall, causing panic and chaos. Local authorities have deployed over a hundred firefighters and police officers to clear the debris and search for any remaining victims. The affected area has been cordoned off as investigations into the cause of the collapse continue.
