Smart husky suffering from 'doggy flu' checks himself in to the vet
A smart pet husky suffering from a minor cold escaped home and checked himself into the vet.
The Siberian Husky pooch named Blue had previously visited the LJ Veterinary Clinic with his owner when he was feeling unwell - and appeared to remember the round.
When Bleu felt like he had caught the doggy flu, the canine slipped out of the door of the family home and walked alone to see his doctor in another village in South Cotabato, the Philippines, on February 10.
CCTV footage shows Bleu pushing the glass door open and greeting the medics who appeared baffled at why the dog was there.
Bleu made himself at home and ran around the establishment, wagging his tail while the vets and assistants discussed what happened.
They gave Bleu a bowl of water when they realised he was alone and walked at least 3km to reach them.
Veterinary doctor Lovely Eguia said: 'Bleu is a regular client. He and his owner usually come here by vehicle. His last visit was August last year.'
However, the clever dog seemed to have memorised the way to the vet after multiple trips.
The vet added: 'We were shocked because he was alone. We were worried too because it was a hot afternoon, so we gave him water immediately.'
The medics later contacted Bleu's family who came to pick him up after they checked the dog's health.
