Los Angeles, United States - February 24, 2025 02/23/2025 03:22 pm (GMT-0800) EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Authorities responded to an explosion at a commercial property in East Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon, leaving one person severely injured. The incident occurred at approximately 3:22 p.m. in the 4200 block of East Olympic Boulevard, where the business operates as a bus transport company serving routes to and from the Mexican border. According to witnesses, emergency responders discovered a victim suffering from critical injuries, including severe bleeding, burns, and a possible loss of lower extremities. The individual was quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment. Witnesses at the scene also claimed the location was functioning as an illegal nitrous oxide distribution site. Due to the potential presence of hazardous materials, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Hazmat team was called to assess the situation. Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion and whether illicit activity contributed to the incident.
