A Land Rover owned from new by King Charles is set to go under the hammer.

The 2010 Land Rover Defender 90 was delivered to the Royal Garage at Highgrove House in November 2010.

Iconic Auctioneers say the vehicle was supplied "for the sole use of King Charles III, then The Prince of Wales, and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall."

Finished in Keswick Green with a Charcoal Grey interior, the car has 24,595 miles on the clock and is estimated to fetch between £42k-£50k.

The sales listing details it as recently forming part of "a small but dedicated Royal Collection, dutifully cared for by its fastidious owner"."

Iconic Auctioneers add: "By their nature, a Defender rarely has any form of creature comforts but, as one might expect, this superb example does have the luxury of heated seats and heated front and rear screens."

Unfortunately, the regal registration number shown, '72 HRH', is to be retained by the present keeper and does not form part of the sale.
