On 21st February in Ganzi, Sichuan, a motorbike traveller encountered a wild monkey struggling in a freezing river, unable to escape. Seeing the monkey in distress, the biker quickly took action and successfully rescued it.

Mr. Zhang, the rescuer, explained that the river was partially frozen, making it too slippery for the monkey to climb ashore on its own. Worried that the wild monkey might bite, he used a wooden stick to break the ice and lift the monkey out of the water. He then placed it safely on the riverbank.

By the time it was rescued, the monkey was already freezing and barely able to move. Zhang carefully moved it into the sunlight to warm up, and after some time, the monkey gradually regained its strength. Once he was sure it had recovered, he continued on his journey.
