STORYLINE:
Two mountaineering events were recently held simultaneously at China's Mount Tai and South Korea's Mount Halla.
The activities aimed to strengthen cultural ties and promote cooperation between the two countries.
Ryu Chang Soo, consul general of the Republic of Korea (ROK) in Qingdao, participated in the Mount Tai event.

"Today, I used a mountain-climbing exoskeleton robot and saw a robot dog for garbage collection, which left me a deep impression. They represent the cutting-edge technology of robots. I hope that the two countries will have the opportunity to deepen cooperation in science and technology."
Mount Tai and Mount Halla have shared a sister-mountain relationship since 2009.
Ryu said that this partnership, combined with China's visa-free policy for South Korean tourists, has significantly boosted people-to-people exchanges.
