Bakersfield, United States - February 23, 2025 02/23/2025 03:53 pm (GMT-0800) BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A pedestrian found lying on a Bakersfield street was initially reported as a victim of a hit-and-run collision; however, according to the Bakersfield Police Department, the man fell onto the street due to his level of intoxication. The incident occurred shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday. According to Sgt. Eric Celedon with the Bakersfield PD, an ambulance was requested for the man's fall. The victim was heading south on South H Street with a shopping cart when he fell onto the road. Hall Ambulance paramedics responded, located the man and prepared him for transport to a local hospital. His condition is unknown at this time. There are no further details regarding this incident.
