This is the shocking moment a youngster riding a fruit cart crashed into a shop.

CCTV footage shows the boy engaging the throttle of the three-wheeler as he navigates the road in Guangdong, China, on February 22 just before midnight.

The vehicle can be seen accelerating uncontrollably toward a stack of produce crates, smashing into them. The impact caused the child to bounce slightly on the footrest of the machine.

A startled worker inside the stall can be seen frantically jumping in reaction, while his three colleagues stood frozen in shock at what they had just witnessed.

The visibly stunned child remained motionless as nearby adults rushed toward him to check if he was okay.

One of the vendors lifted him out of the vehicle to comfort him. He reportedly did not sustain any injuries from the incident.

The filmer said: 'Parents should not leave their kids unattended to prevent accidents like this. Teach children about the dangers of electric car keys and always remove the key when leaving to avoid mishandling.'
