International veterinarians battled to save animals in Kenya.

A team of doctors from the Kenya Defence Forces, the U.S. Army, Brooke East Africa, Veterinaires Sans Frontieres Suisse, and Samburu County collaborated on a mission to provide care for local creatures as part of the veterinary civic action program within the Justified Accord 2025 (JA25).

The health exchange program took place at Archers Post on February 18.

Authorities provided preventive and curative vet services to more than 7,200 livestock, including over 3,000 goats, 3,700 sheep, 100 donkeys, 30 dogs, and 150 camels.

Footage shows personnel, residents, and volunteers checking on the animals in the field. Some were seen treating a camel's abscess, while others administered medicines to goats.

JA25 is the primary U.S. Africa Command (USAFRICOM) exercise in East Africa, aimed at improving multinational combat readiness, enhancing crisis response capabilities, and strengthening alliances and partnerships in the region.
