Beirut, Lebanon - Recent The 23rd Chinese Peacekeeping Construction Engineering Company to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) passed the UN military capabilities assessment with high marks last week. Conducted in line with the standardized evaluation system of the United Nations, the UN military capabilities assessment systematically evaluates UN peacekeeping forces across 695 subjects in 17 aspects, including information, training, communications, medical services, and more, aiming to ensure the readiness and effectiveness of peacekeeping units. The Chinese battalion of UN peacekeepers (CHINBATT) demonstrated advanced military skills and high standards, meeting all mission requirements. The assessment team spoke highly of their performances, noting that the battalion's advanced equipment, sufficient supplies, and high-quality military staff all ensure its full capacity to carry out diverse peacekeeping missions with quick response.
