US, Los Angeles: Florence Firestone Fiery Crash Into Pole

Los Angeles, United States - February 25, 2025 02/25/2025 09:29 pm (GMT-0800) SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Calf. – The Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department received a report of a vehicle versus pole collision with one vehicle on fire in the 9100 block of Hooper Avenue in the South Los Angeles community of Florence-Firestone. LASD deputies arrived and confirmed an SUV hit a light pole and caught fire. The driver was able to self-extricate. Firefighters arrived and quickly extinguished the flames. Paramedics were observed evaluating a patient. It is unclear if the patient was ultimately transported to a hospital. At this time, the cause of the crash is unknown.
