US, Los Angeles: El Monte Big Rig Pursuit Prelim Footage
Los Angeles, United States - February 26, 2025 02/26/2025 12:30 am (GMT-0800) EL MONTE, Calif. – El Monte police officers initiated a pursuit of a reported stolen big rig Wednesday morning near the 60 and 605 Freeway interchange. The California Highway Patrol took over the chase at the 210 Freeway and Sunflower Avenue. The pursuit circled the 210, transitioning to the 10 Freeway and returning to the 210. CHP attempted to deploy spike strips twice during the chase, but both attempts missed the vehicle. The trailer attached to the big rig was also reported stolen. Authorities observed the suspect swerving across multiple lanes of the freeway at one point and believed there might be two occupants in the vehicle. CHP is continuing to pursue the big rig, and more information and additional footage are expected to follow.
