The 12th batch of the Chinese medical team in South Sudan has been visiting universities and medical schools, providing hands-on training to young medics.

During these visits, the team delivers classroom lectures and conducts interactive practical sessions, allowing students to engage with the latest medical practices and techniques.

The training features hands-on workshops covering key areas of medical practice, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), blood sugar testing, and blood pressure monitoring.

Stephen Friday, principal of Juba Health Science Institute, highlights that since 2019, the Chinese medical team has played a crucial role in imparting practical medical skills and equipping students for their future careers.

SOUNDBITE 4 (Chinese): DU CHANGYONG, Leader of 12th batch of Chinese medical team in South Sudan
"(We hope to) share our scientific ideas, methods and technologies through the training of talents, so as to prepare a medical team for the local people who will never leave, and benefit the health of local people."
