STORYLINE:
Malaysia's Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture unveiled a promotional video on Wednesday to highlight the country's unique attractions. The video is part of the ministry's Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, which was officially launched in January this year.
In a special screening ceremony, the video showcased points of interest in various Malaysian states including Kedah, Selangor, Malacca, Sabah and Sarawak. The video features natural wonders and archeological sites, as well as food and shopping destinations.
Minister Tiong King Sing said at the launch that his ministry will collaborate with the various states to highlight their unique attractions.
Malaysia's tourism sector has continued to see a post-pandemic rebound, with 2024 seeing 38 million international tourist arrivals -- well above the government target of 35.6 million.

"As an ongoing effort to ensure the competitiveness of the country's tourism sector, MOTAC (Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture) will update every quarter on existing tourism products.
