Doha, Qatar - February 26, 2025 ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠As thousands of global tech leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors gather in Doha, Qatar, for the 2025 Web Summit, there is a growing interest among participants in expanding technological cooperation with China. The event, one of the world's most influential technology conferences, was held in Doha from Sunday to Wednesday. With several Middle Eastern countries actively pursuing economic transformation and developing high-tech industries, Chinese products, such as new energy vehicles, smartphones, and cross-border e-commerce platforms, have been gaining increasing market share in the region. Many attendees from the Middle East expressed their desire to deepen technological cooperation with China, as the country's achievements in high-tech fields continue to impress the world. Ahmed Al Zadjali, an Omani participant, highlighted the long-standing economic and trade relations between Oman and China. The summit's main focus this year was on AI and robotics, with Middle Eastern countries, including Qatar, expressing their hope that China can drive local industrial development through scientific research collaboration and technology transfer.
