China's efforts to develop new quality productive forces fuel economic growth, boost incomes, and enhance sustainability, said Denis Depoux, global managing director at Roland Berger.

"The (concept of) new quality productive forces for me is associated with value-added, innovation-driven productivity. This shows the commitment to industrial modernization of the Chinese economy to produce more added-value products, to produce finished products with high added value, high innovation content, which in turn drive higher margins and higher wealth for the Chinese economy. 
The focus on investment has therefore to be shifted from volume to value, to generate this higher productivity, and to drive higher disposable income for the people of China. That will drive confidence. That will drive spending, and create a healthier and more sustainable model for the Chinese economy with a higher share of domestic consumption. 
The government's determination in decarbonization objectives also shows that long-term reform objectives stand and this is particularly important at a time when, obviously, sustainability is challenged in the world. China's ability to deliver on its sustainability ambition will shape both its domestic trajectory but also its role on the global scene."
