( had to upload again due to previous upload not completing successfully). I was revisiting Nam Un Dam, at Sakon Nakhon, Thailand, with my drone and came across a very tranquil scene. A fisherman was out in the calm beautiful lake at sunset with his fishing rod, as I passed by him he was casting his rod far across the lake, I panned slowly across the shore towards the sunset, when suddenly he caught a big fish, as I returned the camera on him he was just lifting the fish from the water, next thing there was a big splash and the fish was gone. After this moment he gave up and returned to the shore. He looked a bit sad, as he left the water he cast his eyes back to the spot where he lost this fish. I went to talk with him and he tole me that the fishing line had broken due to the weight of this fish. What a lucky fish! However he didn't go home empty handed. He had a small keep net with 4 or 5 other fish that he was taking home for supper. I photographed them. My g/f managed to catch some photos of the final moments of the dramatic escape of this fish, I have attached them at the end of this video. What an exciting end to March 1st at this beautiful lake. Amazing Thailand.
