Major flood enters mall, hysterical visitors scatter to save themselves.

A major flood paralyzed the city of Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

The flood inundated several areas in Bekasi City, to the point that it was called 'paralyzed' by Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto.

The flood water also entered the hypermall in the center of Bekasi City, in the video brown flood water can be seen flowing into the mall.

The water appeared to inundate the ground floor of the mall. Several visitors were seen running scattered when the flood came. They were seen climbing the escalator and heading to the upper floor of the mall to save themselves.

The Head of the South Bekasi Police, Police Commissioner Dedi Herdiana, confirmed that the flood entered the mall.

"Yes, it's true that the flood entered the mall and visitors scattered," said Dedi Herdiana.

Dedi said the flood also inundated residential areas. He said there were 38 flood points in the Bekasi City area.

"There are 38 flood locations. And this is the worst flood," he said.

In addition, a number of vehicles owned by residents were also swept away by the great flood.
