Firemen save pet dog stranded in cliff in California
This is the dramatic moment firemen saved a pet dog stranded on a cliff in California.
Susan River Fire Protection District and CalFire sprang into action after receiving a frantic 911 call about the hapless canine teetering on a deadly ledge 20 ft below in Lassen County on February 22.
Footage shows a heroic firefighter in full gear and harness descending the perilous overhang while his colleague secures the anchor point.
Moments later, they successfully retrieved the black-and-white pooch.
Authorities then transported the animal to Lassen Veterinary Hospital for a check-up and confirmed that it had not sustained any injuries from the incident.
The dog was then sent to Lassen County Animal Shelter to be taken care of and to look for its forever home.
