Flash floods left cars stranded on roads in Spain.

Heavy rainfall and strong winds battered the region, causing significant flooding in the provinces of Valencia and Castellon on Monday, March 3.

Footage shows provincial firefighters and rescue teams navigating through the deluge to assist vehicles trapped in floodwaters on the CV 10 in Sant Mateu.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued an adverse weather warning, predicting that strong to very strong and persistent showers will continue across the country at least until Thursday.

Authorities urge tourists and residents to avoid crossing riverbeds and avoid unnecessary travel.

This extreme weather comes after torrential rains and deadly floods in October which resulted in over 200 deaths, with several people still missing.
