Schoolgirl hilariously struggles to handle fire hose
A schoolgirl screamed as she struggled to handle a fire hose during a safety training drill.
The pupil, Querubin, was chosen to demonstrate to classmates how to properly hold the emergency device but the force of the water surging through the tube proved too much for her.
Footage shows Querubin shouting while being assisted by an officer on February 28 at her school in Quezon, the Philippines.
The pressure of the water kept changing making her scream even more as she needed to tighten her grip.
Querubin said: 'It is so heavy and felt weird but I knew I had to learn how to put out the fire.'
Teacher Melvin Villasoto added: 'Querubin is a jolly kid. She volunteered to try it and that was her reaction.'
March is declared Fire Prevention Month in the Philippines because it is one of the hottest and driest months of the year, increasing the risk of fires.
The Bureau of Fire Protection launches campaigns to raise awareness before and during the month.
