Chinese chef shows off 'flying eggs' trick as he uses pressure cooker to make eggs hover
On February 22, in Heze, Shandong, a young chef used the steam vent of a pressure cooker to successfully make two eggs hover above the jet of steam, transforming them into "flying eggs."
The chef explained that the two eggs were actually empty eggshells. He had drilled a small hole in each egg and removed the egg white and yolk. Once the pressure cooker had built up enough steam pressure, he removed the steam vent and placed the empty eggshells over the opening. The upward force generated by the steam allowed the eggshells to float in midair.
This demonstration was not intended for cooking but was instead a playful experiment showcasing the physical effects of steam pressure.
