A Brazilian escort complained that a customer paid her with fake notes.

Erotic star Brenda Aguiar said she reported the punter to the police for 'fraud and rape' for paying her with forged banknotes on February 21.

She says that after spending the whole night with the unnamed man, he left her with worthless BRL 50 (6.50 GBP) and BRL 100 (13 GBP) counterfeit money.

Holding a fistful of the fake bills, she said in the footage: 'That was all that was missing, right, in the life of a whore? You spend the whole night with the client, charge him the amount, and he makes a big deal in front of everyone at the club.

'The next day, you go and look, and there are a bunch of counterfeit bills. People, I don't know how to check if they're genuine.'

Brenda said she only discovered the scam the next day when a friend saw the banknotes.

She added: 'I was desolate. I worked all night, trusted him, and in the end, I was knocked back.

'I only realised I was tricked the next day, well after the customer had already left.'

Local legal expert Dr Fernando Viggiano says the best payback could come from a civil court claim that could trigger criminal prosecutions for fraud and circulating forged bills.

He said: 'In this way, the sex worker can collect the amounts in the civil court, and the client can be prosecuted for putting counterfeit currency into circulation.'
