Shop ceiling collapses when storm shakes buildings in Thailand
This is the terrifying moment a shop ceiling collapsed as a storm shook buildings in Thailand.
Employees endured severe rainfall and strong winds battering Khon Kaen province in the northeast of the country on March 3.
Staff members had to move the display shelves inside the store to prevent them from getting soaked.
CCTV footage shows a strong gust of wind blowing items off the rack, with stuffed toys tumbling to the floor.
Moments later, part of the ceiling caved in, sending everyone screaming and scrambling to safety.
The shelves blocked the falling plywood, preventing it from hitting the women.
No injuries were reported.
Thailand and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia experience erratic seasonal rainfall, bringing soaring temperatures followed by powerful afternoon storms, often leading to widespread flash floods.
