China - Recent China's Shenzhen deploys AI-powered virtual employees for government services (Voice_over) Government offices in south China's Shenzhen City are now using open-source large language models from AI company DeepSeek to assist with various tasks and services. At the Futian Bureau of Government Services and Data Management, 70 of these new "digital workers" are up and running. The bureau's deputy director says the smart assistants can handle as many as 240 different service scenarios. For every AI worker, there's a human who's responsible for it, including taking the blame if anything goes wrong.
