This is the terrifying moment a woman was thrown from her horse and dragged along the floor.

Jade Veldhof, 18, fell when her Oldenburger horse, Flame, five, bucked on February 28, 2025.

She was using safety stirrups - which are meant to release in a fall - but they didn't work and she was dragged along the floor.

Jade was able to get loose when her riding boot ripped in half.

She was taken to hospital with a torn ankle ligament and bruising.

Jade, from Saasveld, Netherlands, said: "My horse starts bucking and I fall off."

"I was using the safety stirrups, but they didn't work and I got dragged. "

"I was let go when my riding boot got ripped in halve. "

"I ended up with torn ankle ligament and a lot of other bruises. I went directly to the hospital after and the accident left me with a trauma."
