This is the shocking moment a woman was hoisted into the air when a lift door trapped a trolley cable.

Andriele Vieira Da Silva and her friends entered the elevator carrying flatbed carts when the rope of one of the trolleys became caught in the entrance in Curitiba, Brazil, on February 7.

CCTV footage shows Andriele being dragged upwards as the cable moved with the doors and snagged between her legs.

Upon seeing this, her friends immediately rushed to help, freeing one of her bent legs from the wire.

One of the women frantically pressed the elevator button to stop the machine. The incident left the group in shock, but they later watched back the video and laughed.

Andriele was not injured in the incident.
