This is the shocking moment a car crashed into a lorry trailer after slipping on an icy road and sliding into another lane.

CCTV footage shows the white sedan manoeuvring along the highway when it lost control in Yinchuan, China, on March 2.

The four-wheeler accelerated into the passing lorry, hitting its cargo and causing the trailer to skid across the tarmac, taking up the entire lane.

Grain can be seen spilling onto the road while the vehicle's engine compartment is heavily damaged.

The truck also dragged another car that was parked by the roadside before coming to a stop.

The worried lorry driver and another trucker then stepped out of their cabin and rushed over to check if the individuals were okay.

Local media reported that no one was injured in the incident.
