This is the amusing moment a pet cockatiel rode a toy Vespa scooter.

Footage shows the playful bird perched on the pillion seat of the three-wheeler miniature RC toy in Henan, China.

It can be seen motionless as the white bike manoeuvres on the floor and even circles around, causing it to accelerate with its front wheels upright.

The keeper said: 'He was actually scared of the scooter at first, but he gradually accepted it and plays with the toy most of the time.'

Cockatiels love playing with toys, especially those that make noise or can be shredded. They enjoy bells, mirrors, and chewable toys. They are naturally curious and love to explore their surroundings. Providing a variety of perches and play areas can keep them entertained.
