Bahía Blanca, Argentina - March 08, 2025 After learning of the first consequences of the strong storm that hit Bahía Blanca during the early hours of Friday, the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, and the Minister of Defense, Luis Petri, traveled to the Buenos Aires town to tour the emergency zone and meet with the crisis committee, where Governor Axel Kicillof was also present. However, and despite the quick action on the part of the officials, they were not well received by some neighbors of the place, who heckled them while they were walking through one of the damaged areas. Amid shouts and insults, Petri and Bullrich had to be escorted by police officers back to the truck that had taken them to the place and they quickly left. “Take her away”, “They had to show up last night”, “We lost everything” and “Go back on foot, get your shoes wet” were some of the cries heard in the context of the climate of discontent and helplessness of the inhabitants of the city where more than 400 millimetres of water fell.
