A caring bus conductor went the extra mile and fanned a mother and her child on a sweltering ride in Thailand.

The employee was concerned about the foreign passengers as the vehicle's air conditioning unit broke down during the trip in Bangkok on February 28.

Footage shows the kind-hearted worker using a cardboard sign to fan breeze onto the family of tourists, who were not used to the 34C temperatures.

The conductor stood in the middle of the aisle of the moving bus and stood in front of the mum and kid to help soothe them from the heat.

Sattahip, another passenger who was sitting from across the bus, said: 'The aircon broke down and the conductor immediately checked on the child. Everyone who saw was really touched. She was one of a kind.'

Thailand is generally hot and humid most of the year since it's a tropical country. However, the temperature and humidity vary depending on the season and region.

During the hot season, which runs from March to May, temperatures can soar up to 40 degrees C.
