Thai soldiers crawled through a muddy storm drain to rescue six puppies trapped inside.

The officers were having a morning jog when they heard a faint dog crying sound that seemed to come from under the ground in Chaiyaphum, Thailand, on November 17.

The Good Samaritans searched the area and found a waterlogged drain. They flashed a torch inside the dark hole and found the litter in the middle.

Footage shows the uniformed men trying to lure the puppies out. A stray mother dog crawled into the partially flooded drain, but she could not take her babies out on her own.

One of the soldiers took off his clothes and volunteered to slip through the drain and extract the puppies one by one.

All of the puppies were saved and they were taken along with their mother to a shelter.
