Fed-up homeowner modifies table tennis trainer to bang ceiling in protest against noisy upstairs neighbour
On March 6, in Wuhan, Hubei, a man, frustrated by persistent noise from the upstairs neighbours, modified a table tennis training device to create vibrations on the ceiling as a form of protest.
He secured the device’s rod to the ceiling using transparent tape and attached a ping pong ball. A thin string was tied to the rod and connected to a vibrating motor, causing the ball to bounce against the ceiling, producing noise and vibrations to disturb the upstairs residents.
Mr Wu, the man behind the protest, stated that he had endured the noise for too long and resorted to this method after multiple failed attempts to resolve the issue through communication.
