Lorenzo Riccardi, chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, lauded China's commitment to opening up in the 2025 annual government work report, highlighting cooperation potential between China and Italy in the electric vehicle (EV) sector. The world has been watching closely the past week as China held its annual "two sessions," a highly anticipated event on the country's political calendar that refers to the meetings of the country's top legislature - the National People's Congress (NPC), and the country's top political advisory body - the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). In the government work report delivered by Premier Li Qiang at the opening meeting of the third session of the 14th NPC, China reaffirmed its commitment on expanding high-standard opening up and stabilizing foreign trade and foreign investment. Riccardi said the chamber is paying particular attention to the potential opportunities for collaboration with China in the EV market. Shotlist: Italy - Recent: FILE: Beijing, China - Date Unknown 1. We consider that, of course, China is the number one market, it's the number one producer and is promoting faster this new trend in electric vehicles. So we consider that small and medium-sized enterprises from Italy can bring value to the supply chain, also of the electric vehicle market in China. So we believe this is a practical field where the Italian expertise, the quality of 'Made in Italy' can also cooperate with China, in the largest market entering this domestic supply chain."; [SHOTS OVERLAYING SOUNDBITE] Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, east China - Recent 7.
