Starting at 16:22 on 11th March, Hulunbuir in Inner Mongolia was hit by a blizzard, with some areas experiencing gale-force winds reaching level 10, creating a "whiteout" with extremely low visibility. By 08:00 on 12th March, the maximum recorded snow depth in the region had reached 20cm. Several people and vehicles became trapped in affected areas, prompting local fire departments to carry out multiple successful rescue operations.

At the 4km mark of Tonghu Road in Manzhouli, two vehicles carrying six people were stranded in the middle of the road, with heavy snowfall reaching the windows. Firefighters used shovels and other tools to clear the surrounding snow and transported the trapped individuals to a safe location using a fire engine. Near the Manzhouli Industrial Park, another vehicle with five people was also stranded, and rescuers successfully evacuated them to safety.

Near the Ergun Toll Station on the G10 Suiman Expressway in Zhalainuoer District, a car became deeply embedded in snowdrifts, with around 40cm of accumulated snow burying most of the vehicle. The driver was trapped inside, but firefighters managed to free them after approximately 20 minutes of work. Additionally, in areas near a scenic spot between Chen Barag Banner and Zhalainuoer District, as well as near the Ergun Thermal Power Plant, firefighters successfully rescued two vehicles with eight people and another vehicle with two people, respectively.

At around 04:30 on 12th March, four kilometres from Cuogang Toll Station in Zhalainuoer District, a car carrying three people, including a baby, became stranded. Due to the road conditions, rescue vehicles were unable to reach the site, forcing firefighters to trek for nearly an hour to reach the trapped passengers. Given the length of time they had been stranded, rescuers determined that the baby was at significant risk if not transferred to a safe location quickly. After ensuring the infant was adequately protected from the cold, firefighters successfully evacuated all three people to safety.

In a separate incident near the toll station, a coach bus had been stranded for an extended period, causing it to run out of fuel while carrying 15 passengers. After assessing the situation, rescuers transported fuel to the scene, refuelled the vehicle, and cleared the surrounding snow, successfully enabling the passengers to leave safely.

Between 21:00 on 11th March and 12:00 on 12th March, local fire departments carried out 11 rescue missions in the blizzard, evacuating 58 people and recovering 15 vehicles. Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries or fatalities.
