The 15th Chinese peacekeeping engineer contingent to South Sudan (Wau) has conducted joint defense exercise to improve coordinated combat capability and strengthen the command decision-making efficiency. The exercise was carried out with Bangladeshi peacekeeping infantry battalion and a medical team, involving a simulated riot where refugees, incited by hostile actors, attempted to breach the camp. The exercise included a simulated casualty evacuation. Following a call reporting a wounded soldier, the medical team immediately activated their emergency response plan and dispatched an ambulance and medical personnel to the scene.
