This is the heartwarming moment of a kind resident rescuing a bird trapped inside a metal pillar.

The Good Samaritan named Pitak saved the Magpie that was trapped outside his house in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 7.

The man tied a yellow rope with tape and slowly lowered it down to reach the poor bird.

Footage shows the winged creature sticking to the tape as the rescuer pulls it. He then gets down the ladder, bathes the bird, and lets it drink water with a syringe.

After taking care of it, Pitak petted bird and then released it while watching it fly away.

Pitak said: 'I don't know how many days the bird had been stuck. I hadn't been home for three days, so it was lucky to find it in time.'
