Hair-raising scenes show fighter jets passing feet above onlookers
A hair-raising video shows two fighter jets passing a few feet above onlookers.
Ryan Grothe captured the U.S. Air Force Blue Angels display team trying out low-flying moves in preparation for their show season.
He shot the action at Naval Air Facility El Centro in Imperial County, California, on Tuesday (11 March).
Ryan said: "I was on a public road just 50 feet off the runway. They were flying low to simulate a low level pass."
"I was standing next to my black Tacoma truck to watch the Blue Angels fly over during their winter practice."
"I'd say they passed maybe 100ft, perhaps 75ft above the ground, at a guess."
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels are a flight demonstration team of the United States Navy.
They perform in over 60 shows annually across the United States and Canada, attracting millions of spectators each year.
