This is the dramatic moment wildlife workers freed a badger trapped in a snare in Turkey.

Teams from the Kurucasile Forest Management Directorate in Bartin rushed to the forest after receiving a report of the distressed animal on Tuesday, March 12.

Footage shows rescuers carefully cutting through the cable to release the exhausted creature.

After a three-hour operation, the weary badger was finally saved.

Showing signs of distress and minor injuries, it was immediately handed over to National Parks teams for urgent treatment and rehabilitation.

Officials confirmed the badger is now in safe hands and receiving the necessary care.

A badger is a medium-sized mammal known for its burrowing habits. While generally shy and not a threat to humans, badgers can be defensive and may bite if they feel threatened or cornered. They play an essential role in ecosystems by controlling insect and small rodent populations.
