Los Angeles, United States - March 14, 2025 03/14/2025 11:43 pm (GMT-0700) DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. – SpaceX launched the Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Transporter-13 mission to low-Earth orbit on Friday, March 14. Liftoff from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California occurred at 11:43 p.m. PT. This marked the 13th flight for the first-stage booster, which previously supported missions such as Crew-7, CRS-29, PACE, Transporter-10, EarthCARE, NROL-186, and six Starlink missions. After stage separation, Falcon 9 successfully landed at Landing Zone 4 at Vandenberg Space Force Base. Residents and visitors in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties may have heard sonic booms during the launch, depending on weather and other conditions. Video of the launch was shot along the east bank of the Los Angeles River, facing west toward downtown. Transporter-13 was a dedicated small satellite rideshare mission with 74 payloads, including cubesats, microsats, hosted payloads, a re-entry capsule, and an orbital transfer vehicle carrying 11 payloads for later deployment. SpaceX has launched more than 1,200 payloads to orbit for more than 130 customers across its Rideshare program.
