High wire act: A drone clips a high voltage cable and spins out of control for a few horrifying moments!
While flying my drone above some high voltage power lines on a windy day, the drone clipped a cable and started spinning towards the ground! Fortunately after a few agonizing moments it managed to recover and continue its flight! When I started my flight I was well above the pole lines, but somehow managed to drift lower as I followed the power lines. I immediately moved the drone away from the power lines when I realized what happened and moved it much higher than the cables, I will not be attempting this high wire act again, and will try to stay well clear of these in the future.
