College students in China create "portal" illusion in dormitory
On December 29, 2024, in Nanning, located in southern China’s Guangxi province, a video captured a mesmerizing visual trick performed by a group of university students in their dormitory.
The clip showed a young man making circular gestures with his hands before a glowing portal seemingly appeared in front of him. Inside the portal, a breathtaking snow-capped mountain was visible.
As he stepped forward, it looked as if he was walking into another dimension. The impressive effect was likely achieved with the help of strategic lighting and a well-executed 3D projection, with his roommates assisting in the background.
