This is the shocking moment a sliding metal gate fell onto a dad as he tried to close the driveway.

Footage shows the father slowly closing the steel barrier on a sunny afternoon at their home in Bangkok, Thailand, on December 2.

As he pushed the gate shut, the wheel suddenly slipped off the track, causing the heavy door to fall onto him. Due to its weight, he was unable to hold it up, and it knocked him to the ground.

His daughter rushed outside and immediately helped her parent after hearing a loud crash outside.

Reports said he was injured but sustained no serious harm following a medical check-up.
