At approximately 1:30 PM on March 15th, in Lingao County, Hainan Province, a fighter jet belonging to the Southern Theatre Command of the Chinese Navy encountered an emergency during routine training and crashed. However, the pilot managed to eject in time and landed safely, with no casualties reported.

According to a statement from the Southern Theatre Command Navy, the fighter jet experienced a sudden malfunction mid-flight, making it impossible to maintain normal operation. Faced with the emergency, the pilot quickly assessed the situation and decisively activated the emergency ejection system, successfully escaping the aircraft. The jet subsequently crashed in an open area near Jialai Town, causing no damage on the ground.

Following the incident, the navy immediately launched an emergency response plan, dispatching rescue teams to the scene. The pilot underwent a medical examination and was confirmed to be in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, relevant departments have begun clearing the crash site and recovering the aircraft wreckage.

The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
