On 10th March, a hilarious yet chaotic incident unfolded in a supermarket in Xuzhou, Jiangsu. Two young boys, around three to four years old, started a mischievous game of smashing bottles of alcohol, leaving the shop in a complete mess.

CCTV footage shows that at around 11 a.m., the boys were initially playing happily with their toys inside the store. However, they soon grew bored and began searching for something more exciting. Their eyes eventually landed on the bottles of alcohol on the shelves—thus, their ‘bottle-smashing contest’ began.

One boy picked up a bottle and threw it to the ground with force, watching it shatter into pieces with a loud crash. Seeing this, the other boy eagerly joined in. The two took turns smashing bottle after bottle, growing more enthusiastic as they went along. By the time they were stopped, they had broken a total of 23 bottles, leaving shattered glass and spilled alcohol all over the floor.

Meanwhile, their mother was chatting with the shop owner, assuming the children were still playing harmlessly with their toys. It wasn’t until much later that she realised the havoc they had caused.

Shocked and embarrassed, the boys' mother immediately apologised and took full responsibility for compensating the shop for the damage.

The supermarket owner, while exasperated, couldn’t help but laugh at the situation. He stated that the broken bottles were all relatively inexpensive, amounting to just over 200 yuan in losses.
