This is the shocking moment a truck's tyre exploded, smashing into a passing car on a highway in Thailand.

The white hatchback was driving alongside the lorry when one of the rear tyres of the twelve-wheeler vehicle suddenly burst in the middle of the road in Laem Chabang, Chonburi, on March 3.

Dashcam footage shows the tyre debris flying directly into the front of the driver's car, causing damage to the hood and leaving it dented on the side.

The accelerating driver even drove over the ripped tyre and immediately pulled over to the roadside, while the trucker continued navigating the motorway as if nothing had happened.

The car owner said: 'I was so shocked and had to quickly think of what to do, so I stepped out of the vehicle to inspect the damage before driving again.'

No one was reportedly injured in the incident.
