Trapped for four days in 100-foot well, dogs rescued after marathon operation

The Khambhalia Fire Department saved four dogs in an epic five-hour-long operation who had fallen into a well, where they remained trapped for four days

The incident occurred in the farm near Beh village, in Khambhalia taluka of Devbhoomi Dwarka district, in western India’s Gujarat, on March 13.

Visuals show that the fire department personnel climbed down into a deep well using a ladder and rescued the dogs one by one.

Speaking to Newslions, Mitraj Singh Parmar, station fire officer from Khambhalia Nagar Palika, stated that the incident took place on a farm, 2 km before Beh village. Four dogs fell into an open well and were pulled out alive after a five-hour-long operation on March 13. The depth of the well was approximately 100 feet, and the water level of the well was 80 feet.

The Fire Department has received great appreciation from the locals for their outstanding efforts towards the animals.
