me and a friend chased down 4 mobile phone thieves after a mobile was stolen from a Chinese student in Neechells Birmingham. After a short chase we caught up when one of them threw the phone on the floor. My friend detained them while I kept on my bike incase they tried to escape so i could catch them. After one of them become lippy he was thrown to the ground. I was alerted to someone coming up behind so went to check when another of the gang appeared and appeared to have something in his hand. from there we left the scene with the phone and tracked down the girl who had the phone stolen. I checked the canal towards city centre but she was at the other end by the college. we soon found her and her friend and handed the phone back
